Teaching Staff

All of the Poolside Teaching Staff who teach Learn to Swim, Water Polo,
Competitive or Non Competitive Swimming have all completed a recognised ASA
Coaching, Teaching or Assistant Teachers course. The Club is headed by our Head Coach Miss Rachel Aldington. The majority of the Poolside Staff have been sponsored by the Club in the completion of their course while others have funded themselves through the various courses. Other Poolside helpers come from the parents of children who swim and work closely with fully qualified staff. Nearly all of the poolside helpers go on to get formal teaching qualifications and assist with the Club. The Club also recognises and encourages the assistance given to the Club by the older swimmers who also help with poolside teaching but are too young to take the Assistant Teachers Course, instead, they are trained as Poolside Helpers which is also a recognised qualification by the ASA and is aimed at the 14 to 16 Age group.
